We continue our journey in the hospital on 17 July 2016 under the name Diabetes School. Our aim was to have an effective role in the management of the diseases of people with diabetes and to increase their knowledge and experience. For this purpose, we continue our training regularly every month. Since diabetes education requires a multidisciplinary approach, we are conducting our Diabetes School education with a team. Our team includes Endocrinology Specialist, Diabetes Education Nurses, Diabetes Dietitian, Physiotherapist and Psychiatrist. So far, we have given a Diploma of Diabetes to many people. The patients who complete the education in Diabetes School are taken into the follow-up program, are called for their controls at 3-month intervals and detailed measurements are made. The foot examinations of our Diabetes School patients are regularly performed according to the risk scale. Individuals with diabetes who want to participate can apply to diabetes education nursing to the endocrinology outpatient clinic of our hospital. Training is completely free.
