DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRİCS AND GYNECOLOGY
Gynecology and Obstetrics clinic of İKÇÜ as well as provides patient care service in all fields of women health, both undergraduate and licence education. Currently we have six education persons five of whom are associate professors, two gynecological oncology subspecialist, fourteen Ob&Gyn specialist.Also we have sixteen residents (assistant doctors) on postgraduate education. The physical facilities of our clinic consist of two delivery rooms, three operating rooms and two clinic with total 48 bed.
Our doctors can perform all type of operations and interferences on the fields of gynecological oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology, general gynecology and obstetrics. We have two obstetrics, four gynecology and two subspeciality (gynecological endocrinology and infertility-urogynecology) outpatient clinics. Our clinic also offers polyclinic services as overtime work.Advanced endoscopic operations including total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic pelvic and paraaortic lymph node dissection can be performed in our clinic. In the council of gynecological oncology which meets once a week treatment planing and follow up strategies of our oncological patients is carried out in a multi disciplinary aproach.
All types of urogynecological operations including sacrocolpopexy, Burch colposuspension, sacrospinous fixation, sling operations on the can be performed. In the field of conservative incontinence treatment our clinic is the one of the two clinics in İzmir which have extracorporeal magnetic innervation device (magnetic chair)
