Physical Structure of the Clinic and Employees
- In our clinic, Infectious diseases inpatient clinic is in the main building of our hospital on the first floor, with a capacity of 20 beds.
- Our clinic serves with 10 specialist physicians, 7 nurses and 2 staff. At the same time, there are 2 specialist physicians in our additional building in Hatay.
- There are 2 faculty members, 2 teaching staff, 3 chief assistant, 3 specialist physicians and 7 specialist students in our clinic.
- The infectious diseases polyclinic is located on the ground floor of our hospital. Our polyclinic is the polyclinic serving the highest number of patients in the field of infectious diseases according to Ministry of Health data and is the first in our country.
Services provided in the Infectious Diseases Clinic
- In our clinic, chronic infectious diseases such as urinary tract infections, pneumonia, skin soft tissue infections, gastroenteritis, central nervous system infections, brucellosis, unknown cause fever, Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic fever, tuberculosis, chronic viral hepatitis, chronic / chronic diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow-up of infectious diseases are carried out.
- The diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of our patients with diabetic foot infection are carried out in cooperation with orthopedics, plastic surgery, endocrinology and dermatology clinics.
- Risky post-exposure prophylaxis for rabies and tetanus are applied.
- In our clinic, invasive procedures such as liver biopsy and lumbar puncture are performed.
- Our laboratory has a light microscope with two viewfinders. Microscopic studies of various samples are made and also training is provided by the education staff.
- Various clinical specimens such as urine, stool and sputum are stained and microscopically examined.
- Peripheral smear examinations, thick and fine smear examinations are performed for the diagnosis of malaria.
- Infection Control Committee (EKK) works under the presidency and leadership of our clinic in accordance with the related regulation provisions. All of our specialists are active in this field as a member of the committee.
- Our specialist physicians provide intensive consultation services to our patients who are monitored in other services on a daily basis.
- A specialist physician from our clinic is in charge of the diabetic foot council and provides services to our patients every week on Friday together with the relevant branch physicians.
- One of our intensive care units in our hospital is responsible for our specialist physician and they provide services to the patients who are followed in the intensive care unit with daily visits.
- Our specialists are regularly trained on infection control measures throughout the hospital.
- Our specialist physicians are active in units such as central sterilization unit and vaccine polyclinic besides infection control committee.
